The Client

Our client a $30B multinational “Big Four” professional services firm hired me to help with an emerging technology project.

The Situation

Our client has an advisory service area was experiencing high growth that account for 25% of revenue for a business unit. This service area needed assistance in the design and development of a new digital marketing capability moving away from old school static PowerPoint presentations to interactive mobile based demonstrations.

The Solution

The solution consisted of an iPad application that allowed practitioners to advise clients on engagements on the portfolio opportunists. The solution content web content, videos, data sheets, infographics, white papers, client case studies, and webcasts for various industry and sectors.

The solution followed the principals as set out by Enterprise Architecture to include, but not limited to: Information security standards, user experience best practices, coding guidelines.

The logical architecture consisted of a SharePoint site where content creators would place PowerPoint presentations. A SharePoint Provider Hosted App (PHA) would utilize ASPOSE PPT to HTML conversion API to transform content. The resulting HTML would be placed in SharePoint document library. An iPad native application would access the SharePoint APIs to retrieve content.

The Benefits

Delivered an easy to use solution that allowed practitioners to quickly review industry and sector specific advisory services in a branded and interactive way on iPads.
